Mr. Ding Contax G to Canon RF Adapter with Focus Ring & Electronic Focus Confirmation

Product Functions

1. The adapter features a G-lens focus coupling blade and a focus ring, enabling manual focus functionality for G-mount lenses.
2. The adapter has a built-in electronic chip that communicates data with the camera body. Through the camera's focus indicator, it achieves faster and more precise focusing compared to focus peaking (refer to the operation guide section for specific instructions).
3. Trap focus can be enabled via camera function settings to capture moving subjects (refer to the operation guide section for specific instructions).
4. It can record the maximum shooting aperture value of the G lens (due to Canon system limitations, setting aperture values above F8 will result in inaccurate exposure, so it cannot be manually set arbitrarily).
5. The adapter's database has built-in lens models, focal lengths, and maximum aperture values for all conventional Contax G lenses. Users can set preset lens information, and this data will be transmitted to the camera body via mount communication data and saved into the EXIF information of the photos (refer to the operation guide section for specific instructions).
   

Operation Notes

      Manual lens apertures cannot be electronically controlled by the camera body, so shooting must be done at the lens's actual maximum aperture to ensure accurate metering and exposure. The adapter only reflects the "maximum aperture" and steps down by approximately 1/3 stop on the camera body, with a total of three adjustable steps shown. For example, when the maximum aperture is set to F2.0, the adjustable range displayed on the camera body is F2.0, F2.2, F2.5, F2.8.

Compatibility & Camera Support

Lens Compatibility: Fully compatible with all Contax G series lenses.

Camera Body Compatibility: Compatible with most Canon EOS R mirrorless camera bodies.

• Focus Guide & Trap Focus: Supported on all EOS R models that feature the "Focus Guide" option in their AF menu.  
•  Entry-Level Models (R10 / R50 / R100): Due to camera menu limitations, Electronic Focus Confirmation and Trap Focus are not supported on the Canon EOS R10, R50, and R100. On these models, Focus Peaking can still be used for manual focus assistance. 

Safety Precautions

1. Ensure full installation and proper engagement of the lock mechanism when mounting the adapter to the camera and the lens to the adapter.
2. Power off the camera before mounting or removing the adapter to avoid accidental electrical contact causing damage to the camera or lens.
3. When picking up or mounting the adapter, avoid touching the electrical signal contacts on the lens side or camera side directly with your hands to prevent accidental electrostatic discharge (ESD) from damaging internal circuits.
4. Do not immerse the adapter in water or expose it to rain, otherwise it may cause product damage.
5. Do not disassemble the adapter; unauthorized disassembly may cause product failure.
6. Do not drop or knock the adapter; heavy impact may cause damage.
